PE Systems
Latest manufacturing technology
Polyethylene (PE) pipe is used in a wide range of applications due to its high impact strength, flexibility, resistance and versatility in a range of different environments.
Zezt is committed to using only the highest standard of raw materials and the latest manufacturing technology. This has established the business with a reputation as a quality supplier of PE pipes in sizes ranging from 16 mm to 1200 mm in diameter.
PE pipe can be for:
- Water supply
- Gas
- Recycled and reclaimed water transfer
- Mining and slurry lines
- Underground fire service
- Sewerage
- Drainage
- Rural/Irrigation applications
- Compressed air
- Conduits for electrical and telecommunications

Features and Benefits:
High impact strength: The high impact strength of PE pipe ensures resistance to the rigors of pipe laying conditions
Damage resistant: PE pipe has low notch sensitivity, providing a high level of resistance to the effects of external damage. This is especially important for pipe bursting operations and where there is a likelihood of external damage to the pipe.
Abrasion resistant: PE pipe has excellent abrasion resistance providing long life in abrasive slurry applications. In most applications, PE pipe outlasts other pipe materials such as mild steel and rubber lined steel pipe.
Chemical resistant: PE pipe has outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemical reagents. This allows the use of PE pipe systems in applications such as tailings pipelines and chemical treatment applications used in mining operations.
Corrosion resistant: PE pipe is highly resistant to corrosion and does not require any protective coatings or other corrosion protection systems.
Weather resistant: PE pipe is stabilised against ultraviolet (UV) light degradation because carbon black is included in the raw material, making Black PE pipe suitable for installations where the pipe is exposed to direct sunlight.
Flexibility: PE pipe is flexible and can be curved during installation. This inherent resiliency and flexibility allow the pipe to handle stresses that can be caused by soil movement. The flexibility of PE pipe also makes it particularly useful when laying submarine pipelines and in mine-subsidence and earthquake prone areas.
Ease of installation: PE pipe is easy to install because it is lightweight and is manufactured in long lengths. PE coiled pipe is widely used in applications such as stock watering, irrigation systems, communications, gas and reticulated water mains.
High flow capacity: PE pipe has lower friction factors compare to non-plastic materials such as cement lined and fibre-reinforced cement lined pipe. The surface energy characteristics of PE pipe ensures resistance to material deposit build-up so that a smooth bore is maintained over the working life of the pipeline
Co-extrusions: PE pipe is available in a range of identification colours that may be either co-extruded as stripes or “jackets” that surround the pipe.
